Description Nature's Herbs Wild Countryside Cat's Claw Bark Cat's grows in the highlands of the Peruvian Amazon. A woody vine, Cat's Claw, also known as Uña de Gato, has been used for centuries by native Indians. Today's Cat's Claw is the subject of ongoing scientific research. Scientific interest in cat's claw centers on the plant's immune-boosting and anti-inflammatory properties.
It helps to improve inflammatory problems such as osteoarthritis (OA) and prostatitis, immune disorders such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Studies have shown that the inner bark of the vine contains the same beneficial properties as the root and is ecologically preferred since it can be gathered without destroying the plant. In fact, the bark will grow back and replenish itself as long as the root remains intact.
The exclusive FreshCare® System inhibits normal plant oxidation, maintaining product potency and extending freshness. It includes all-natural antioxidants in each capsule, oxygen-absorbin packets in each bottle, special air-tight seals and amber glass packaging for uncompromised quality.

Warning Cat's claw is very safe and nontoxic. The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) gives cat's claw a class 4 safety rating which indicates a lack of scientific data to test that the herb is actually safe. In addition, the AHPA does indicate that the tannin content of cat's claw may cause some abdominal pain or gastrointestinal problems including diarrhea. The diarrhea or loose stools tend to be mild and go away with continued use of the herb.
Cat's claw should not be used by individuals with skin grafts or tuberculosis or by those receiving organ transplants. It should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women or by children who are under three years of age.
